Student Leadership & Group Travel

Led by Alan Feirer

Alan Feirer has a passion for working with youth.

You may know Alan Feirer as the co-director of the Iowa Jazz Championships, or as the co-host of the podcast Music Ed Insights. You may also know him from the sessions he leads at the Iowa Bandmaster’s Convention and IMEA. But the thing he loves most is extending his full-time work as a corporate trainer and consultant to youth, with a mission to help develop leaders who motivate and teams who love working together. Two primary ways he does that is through conducting youth leadership workshops and organizing youth travel to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in Central Florida.

The fundamental role of the leader is to “meet needs.”

Through his leadership workshops and trips, Alan has served thousands of students and helped to build the next generation of leaders using two core principles: No one can lead unless they are acting at a higher level of maturity and selflessness than those they lead; and the fundamental role of the leader is to “meet needs.” This applies to the organization and to the individual.

Alan also specializes in planning trips to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios for high school bands and choirs.

Alan’s love of Disney started early, and it was solidified when he took his first band trip to Walt Disney World in 1996. Through the years he has developed key professional experience and relationships with all aspects of the Central Florida tourism industry — motorcoach lines, airlines, hotels (on and off property), Disney Sales, Universal Sales, restaurants, music clinicians, beach day accommodations, and more. As a result, he is able to customize and coordinate all aspects of your trip at a highly competitive rate. He also provides personalized on-site service at the parks during your visit.

Nobody knows and loves the parks like Alan Feirer.

He can customize a trip that your students will never forget.
